I’m a big believer in taking the path of least resistance. My ethos is defined by leaning into one’s strengths and choosing a career that is as subjectively easy as possible. I’m not a very good rocket scientist, and I’m very sub-par at removing appendices, but I do happen to be good with words.

I have a lengthy background of using my words to pay the rent.

In my freelance career, I prioritized giving businesses big and small develop a human voice; coaching them to ditch the traditional, brand-y tone and embrace actual connection to their customers and fans.

As a book editor, I took that same line of thinking and applied it to brilliant writers, helping them to take their ideas to the next level. I advocated for them to lean into their own strengths and let their personalities shine through their own writing — simply doing my part to turn manuscripts into hardcovers.

And as an editorial director with Talker, I mastered the art of earned media. My job is equal parts consumer research, news writing, crisis comms (only on the bad days), account management, learn-as-I-go Notion pro (can you tell?), and process development for the company as a whole. And as a result, my work has landed in publications like The Sun, The Daily Mail, Yahoo!, New York Post, PC Mag, Financial Times, Martha Stewart, and countless others.
